This course deals with research concepts and essential information that shall guide the student when he/she goes through an empirical investigation as an academic requirement. All knowledge and skills gained from this course will enable the student to embark on researches that will refine and validate existing knowledge phenomenon and generate new information to upgrade knowledge and skills
COURSE JUSTIFICATION/RATIONALE
The need to conduct meaningful inquiry and research cannot be over emphasised in every facets of human development. Thereby, this course intends to stimulate the knowledge of researches in the students and further brighten their analytic scope for their academic activities and also for their future endeavor.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
Explain what (quantitative) research is about
Identifying (quantitative) research problems
Discuss the writing proposals pertaining to quantitative research
Explain the abilities in designing quantitative research instruments
Improve on our Academic Writing abilities
