MUTEBI JOE OJERA is a Dean in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Kampala International University Western Campus since 2016. He also served as an Associate Dean under the  Faculty of Science and Technology from April 2012 to 2016, he was also the acting  Director Academic Affairs from August 2014  September 2014, Head of Department of Computing, Faculty of Science and Technology from August 2008 to March 2013, Assistant Lecturer, Faculty of Science and Technology from 2011 to date, Chairperson, MEPI/MESAU ICT committee 2011 to 2013 , Chairperson, Staff Disciplinary Committee,  November 2014 to 2017 , he has held the above positions at Kampala International University Western Campus.

Mutebi is a PhD Candidate in Management Information Systems at Kampala International University, he holds masters in MSc – Information Systems and bachelors of Computer Science & Mathematics form Makerere University Kampala Uganda.

He undertook a work-based research title “A Decision Support System for Course Management”.  The research was intended to develop a Decision Support System for Course Management in Universities. The study was motivated by the problems affecting faculties and schools in regard to course management, July 2009, he also presented to the school of Postgraduate studies and Research at Kampala International University Western Campus, on how to use ICT to promote efficiency in academic team working. The presentation was based on the application of ICT in linking work processes, May 2008.

Mutebi received a Certificate of Performance in recognition for exceptional performance for the year 2016, as Assistant Lecturer and Dean Faculty of Science and Technology at Kampala International University Western Campus. His shares a lot of experience with the KIU community.
