Influence of Family Income Level on Academic Performance Among Secondary School Students of Kitswamba and Rugendabara-Kikongo Town Councils, Kasese District, Uganda
The study investigated the impact of parental income on students' academic performancein secondary schools in Kitswamba and Rugendabara-Kikongo town councils in KaseseDistrict. A cross-sectional research design was used, with data collected from 286 studentsand five head teachers. The findings showed that family income significantly influencedstudents' academic performance. The findings have implications for parents, teachers,policymakers, and administrators in the education sector, emphasizing the importance ofparental income in determining academic success
