Factors Influencing Contraceptive Use among Women and Adolescents: A Study at Entebbe Grade B Hospital, Uganda

This study investigates the multifaceted factors influencing contraceptive use among women and adolescentsattending Entebbe Grade B Hospital in Uganda. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, both quantitative andqualitative data were collected to comprehensively evaluate the socioeconomic, cultural, educational, and individualfactors affecting contraceptive uptake. The study involved 150 participants, focusing on demographics, contraceptiveuse patterns, and correlations between various factors and contraceptive practices. Findings indicate a moderatelevel of contraceptive utilization, with education level, occupation, and parity significantly associated withcontraceptive use. However, limited awareness of the broader benefits of family planning suggests the need forenhanced education and awareness campaigns. While the study provides valuable insights, further researchincorporating rural populations and qualitative methodologies is recommended to better understand culturalinfluences and societal perceptions surrounding contraception
