Transfusion-related complications pose significant challenges in the management of children with severe malaria, HIV infection, and underlying hematological disorders. This comprehensive review examines the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and management strategies for transfusion-related complications in pediatric patients with these conditions. We explore the interplay between severe malaria, HIV, and underlying hematological disorders, highlighting the complexities encountered in clinical practice.
