Factors contributing to treatment default by tuberculosis patients at art clinic: African perspective
Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the biggest public health problem and now ranks alongside Human ImmunodeficiencyVirus (HIV) as the world’s leading infectious cause of death. The co-infection of TB to HIV patients has beenincreasing with suppressing impact to the host immunity. There are a lot factors contributing to default of ARTpatients with TB including personal factors, stigma, economic factors, educational background, quality and nature ofcare from the facilities. It is imperative to improve on encouraging the HIV patients on ART with TB to access healthfacilities for their improved life.
