PROFILE

Sr. Stella Kanyunyuzi, DST, FCCA, is a Financial Management Professional and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA–UK) with over three decades of progressive experience in financial management, budgeting, payroll administration, institutional governance, and financial accountability within higher education, technical training, and faith-based institutions in Uganda. She currently serves as an Accounts Officer/Administrator at Kampala International University, where she oversees grant budgeting, payroll administration, and financial management functions that support institutional efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

RESEARCH FOCUS

Alongside her professional responsibilities, Sr. Stella is actively engaged in academic research focusing on corporate governance, financial performance, sustainability, accounting ethics, financial reporting quality, and institutional accountability. Her research seeks to strengthen governance systems and promote sound financial management practices that contribute to sustainable organisational performance in emerging economies.

PUBLICATIONS & SCHOLARSHIP

She has authored scholarly work on sustainability practices among entrepreneurial ventures in Uganda, accounting ethics and financial reporting quality, and corporate governance. Her work reflects a commitment to producing research that informs policy, enhances professional practice, and contributes to the advancement of accounting and finance scholarship.

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS

Sr. Stella holds a Master of Business Administration from Mountains of the Moon University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Management from Kampala International University, and a First-Class Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Uganda Martyrs University. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), United Kingdom.
