Dr. Ongabi David

Dean, Faculty of Business and Management

Dr. David Ongabi Nyambane is the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management at Kampala International University, where he provides strategic leadership in academic planning, curriculum development, research, quality assurance, and faculty development. He is committed to fostering excellence in business education, research, and professional training while preparing graduates to meet the demands of a dynamic global economy.

With extensive experience in higher education, academic administration, and research, Dr. Nyambane has served in several leadership roles, including Head of Department, Programme Leader, and Director of Higher Degrees and Research at Mount Kenya University, Kigali, Rwanda. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Business Administration, specialising in Accounting and Finance, with a strong record of teaching, research supervision, and academic mentorship.

Dr. Nyambane holds a PhD in Commerce, a Master of Commerce in Accounting and Finance, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). His research interests include auditing, capital markets, managerial accounting, and corporate financial management, and he has published in reputable scholarly journals while actively participating in academic conferences and research forums.

An accomplished academic and mentor, Dr. Nyambane has supervised numerous undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students to completion, contributing significantly to research capacity development and scholarly excellence. Through his leadership and commitment to quality education, he continues to strengthen the Faculty of Business and Management as a centre for academic excellence, innovation, and professional development.
