Mr. Samuel Nyombi

Dean, School of Nursing Sciences

Mr. Nyombi Samuel Wilson is the Dean of the School of Nursing Sciences at Kampala International University, where he provides strategic leadership in nursing education, curriculum development, research, and professional training. He is committed to advancing excellence in nursing practice by strengthening academic programmes, promoting evidence-based healthcare, and preparing competent nursing professionals to meet evolving healthcare needs.

With over 20 years of experience in nursing practice, education, and academic leadership, Mr. Nyombi has served in several progressive roles within Kampala International University, including Head of Department for Degree and Master's Programmes in the School of Nursing. His professional experience also includes service as a Nursing Officer in Uganda and South Sudan, alongside active involvement in community health and humanitarian initiatives.

Mr. Nyombi holds a Master's degree in Critical Care Nursing, a Bachelor of Nursing Science, a Diploma in Nursing Science, and a Certificate in Nursing from Kampala International University. His academic and research interests focus on critical care nursing, nurse-patient communication, nursing education, women's health, and evidence-based clinical practice.

An experienced educator, mentor, and healthcare professional, Mr. Nyombi has contributed significantly to curriculum development, clinical training, postgraduate supervision, and professional nursing assessments. Through his leadership, he continues to strengthen nursing education, clinical competence, and research, contributing to the development of highly skilled healthcare professionals capable of improving health outcomes across Uganda and beyond.
