Professor Emeka Godson Anyanwu is the Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at Kampala International University, where he provides strategic leadership in biomedical education, curriculum development, postgraduate training, research, and academic quality assurance. He is committed to advancing excellence in biomedical sciences through innovative teaching, interdisciplinary research, and international collaboration.
With over 20 years of experience in anatomy education, biomedical research, and academic leadership, Professor Anyanwu has served in several prestigious universities across Africa. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to curriculum innovation, postgraduate supervision, institutional governance, and the development of competency-based biomedical education.
Professor Anyanwu holds Master's and PhD degrees in Clinical Anatomy and Neuroscience. His research interests span clinical anatomy, neuroscience, musculoskeletal disorders, forensic anthropology, anatomy education, and translational biomedical research. He has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications, attracting over 1,800 scholarly citations, and has made notable contributions to anatomy education, cadaver ethics, and innovative teaching methodologies.
An accomplished researcher, mentor, and international scholar, Professor Anyanwu has supervised numerous Master's and PhD candidates, served as an external examiner and reviewer for leading international journals, and contributed to professional bodies and academic networks worldwide. Through his leadership, scholarship, and commitment to academic excellence, he continues to strengthen biomedical education, research, and innovation while preparing the next generation of healthcare scientists and educators.
