Ms. Aisha Najjuma

Director, Human Resource

Ms. Aisha Najjuma is the Director of Human Resources at Kampala International University, where she provides strategic leadership in human capital management, workforce planning, talent development, and organisational performance. She oversees the University's human resource policies, recruitment, staff development, performance management, employee relations, and payroll administration, ensuring the effective management of the University's most valuable resource—its people.

With over a decade of progressive experience in university administration and human resource management, Ms. Najjuma has served Kampala International University in several leadership roles, including Human Resource Officer before her appointment as Director of Human Resources. Her experience spans strategic workforce planning, recruitment and selection, staff performance appraisal, training and development, policy implementation, payroll management, and conflict resolution, contributing significantly to institutional effectiveness and employee engagement.

Ms. Najjuma holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor of Public Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management. She also serves as an Assistant Lecturer, teaching management and human resource management courses, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

A people-centred leader with a strong passion for organisational development, Ms. Najjuma has successfully championed staff welfare initiatives, performance improvement programmes, and workplace harmony through effective mediation and evidence-based human resource practices. Through her leadership, she continues to strengthen institutional capacity by fostering a high-performing, motivated, and professional workforce that supports Kampala International University's strategic goals.
