MS. TUSHABE HADIJAH, Human Resource (Western Campus)
Ms. Tushabe A. Hadijah is the Director of Human Resources at Kampala International University, Western Campus, where she supports strategic human resource management and institutional development. In this role, she assists in overseeing the operations of the Human Resource Directorate, ensuring effective staff recruitment, performance management, payroll coordination, and staff welfare systems. She also plays an important role in developing and implementing human resource policies, maintaining staff appraisal systems, coordinating salary harmonization initiatives, and supporting the overall administrative efficiency of the university.
Ms. Tushabe has over a decade of professional experience in human resource management, administration, and institutional records management within both the higher education sector and private industry. Prior to her current appointment, she served in several administrative and management positions, including Records Officer and Head of the Students’ Registry at Kampala International University, where she was responsible for implementing professional records management systems and ensuring the effective coordination of academic records. She also served as Human Resource Assistant at the University, supporting recruitment processes, staff leave management, performance appraisal coordination, and administrative documentation. Her industry experience includes serving as General Manager at BAM Petroleum Company Limited and Secretary to the Managing Director at Petro Uganda Limited, where she gained additional experience in organizational management, data administration, and operational coordination.
She holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Kampala International University. Her academic training and professional experience have equipped her with strong expertise in human resource planning, staff development, organizational policy implementation, and institutional administration.
In addition to her core human resource responsibilities, Ms. Tushabe contributes to university governance and administrative committees. She serves as Secretary to the Staff Disciplinary Committee, where she supports disciplinary hearings, documentation, and procedural compliance with institutional regulations. She has also served as a member of the University Housing Committee, contributing to staff housing policy review, eligibility assessment, and long-term housing planning for the institution.
Through her extensive administrative experience, commitment to institutional development, and dedication to fostering a positive and compliant work environment, Ms. Tushabe continues to play an important role in strengthening human resource systems and supporting organizational growth at Kampala International University.
