KIU-Western Campus is a unique campus, located in Ishaka, Bushenyi District. It is the hub of health sciences as a University. We are proud of our extensive involvement in teaching, research, and innovation in all our programs. It is a campus with an international ambiance with staff and students from more than 15 countries in Africa and beyond. This blend of staff and students brings diversity to the campus and enables us to benefit from the diverse knowledge, values, and principles that shape our campus life.

The campus has 10 Faculties and Schools which are the Faculty of Clinical Medicine and Dentistry, School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Nursing Sciences, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Education, School of Law and the Directorate of Higher Degrees and Research.

The School of Law is our newest addition, established in August 2023 with the Bachelor of Laws and Diploma in Law programs.

KIU-WC has its own Teaching Hospital, the biggest and the only University Teaching Hospital, with a capacity of 700 beds. It was established in 2007 to provide quality medical care for residents of the Greater Bushenyi area and assist in training medical students.

To increase exposure and effective teaching of our students, KIU-WC has collaborations with various hospitals around the country including Fort-Portal Regional Referral Hospital, Hoima Regional Referral Hospital, Mubende Regional Referral Hospital, Kiryandongo Hospital, Jinja Regional Referral Hospital, Kayunga Hospital and Lira Regional Referral Hospital where we send our students for clinical training.

At KIU-WC we are committed to offering the best training to our students. We have some of the best lecturers and laboratories with the best equipment in Uganda, which forms our strength.  We ensure at the end of their courses, our students have gained the necessary skills and knowledge, are a ready product for the job market, and can contribute to national development through research and innovation.

You are very welcome to KIU-WC to Explore the Heights with us!
