The government will invest in and emphasize adoption of e-learning methods and digitizing inspection and supervision in education institutions in the next financial year.
During the presentation on the national budget for the financial year 2021/2022 by the new State Minister of Planning Amos Lugoloobi, he said that this is meant to improve learning outcomes.
“Transforming education delivery is of paramount importance in improving learning outcomes, especially with the recent experience with the COVID-19 pandemic,” Lugoloobi said.
“Adopting e-learning methods and digitizing inspection and supervision to address absenteeism of learners and teachers, will improve learning outcomes,” he added.
With the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic forcing the government to re-impose restrictions like the closure of schools, e-learning will become vital in optimizing studying in educational institutions since a lot of time will be lost.
Kampala International University will continue providing learning materials to students on the university’s robust e-learning platform to ensure that the learning gap is kept as narrow as possible.
