About KIU
Kampala International University (KIU) founded in 2001 is a private chartered University in the Republic of Uganda. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Association of Africa Universities as well as the Inter University-Council of East Africa. The University offers a variety of programmes in Health Sciences, Science and Technology, Engineering, Business and Management, Law, Humanities, and Education. KIU seeks to recruit Masters degree holders to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the Staff Development Scheme in the following fields:

Biomedical Sciences

• Microbiology
• Physiology
• Anatomy
• Biochemistry
• Pharmacology

Engineering Sciences

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Telecommunications Engineering

Qualification
Applicants should be holders of Masters’ Degree, Bachelors Degree with either a 1st class or Second Class Upper in relevant areas from a recognized University.
