KIU, Main Campus-Uganda’s Chief Justice Alfonso Owiny-Dollo is expected to be the chief guest at the annual KIU Law dinner 2021 edition on Saturday 8th May 2021 at Hotel international, Muyenga. Dubbed an affair of class and elegance, this year’s dinner is one of its kind.
According to Osiya Moses Kayz, former law society president and one of the chief organizers of this dinner, Saturday’s edition is a record-breaking dinner, one worth attendance for the chief justice of Uganda is expected to be the chief guest.
‘’This dinner is worth attendance because it is record-breaking. There is a lot to learn especially from the seniors in law for example the chief justice and his deputy whom we highly expect to attend in person. The chief justice will be our chief guest,’’ Osiya said.
Unlike before this year’s dinner is open to all law students although finalists will be the supreme attendees. Agaba Nicholas, the former speaker of law society urged all law students to embrace the invitation to the dinner because it is capable of transforming them professionally.
"There is surely a lot to learn from this dinner besides eating and what have you. So, I encourage all law students to come and be part of a life-changing affair," Nicholas said.
Other guests expected to grace Saturday’s law dinner include Uganda’s deputy chief justice, justice Richard Buteera, several law scholars, leaders, and KIU Law Alumni.
