COVID-19 Updates: Indian Government Pledges to Support Uganda in Fight Against COVID-19

KIU, Main Campus - The Indian government has pledged to support Uganda in the fight against Coronavirus.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said in a tweet on Thursday, 9th April 2020, c��?Spoke on phone to President Yoweri Museveni about the challenges arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic. India will support, in every way it can, Ugandac��?cs efforts to control the spread of the virus.c⬝

On Wednesday, President Museveni, while addressing the nation on COVID-19, mentioned that he would discuss with the Indians about manufacturing hydroxychloroquine since various scientists across the world have argued that both chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine can cure Coronavirus.

Ugandac��?cs total of COVID-19 cases rose to 53 as one new case was confirmed on Wednesday 8th April 2020.
