KIU, Main Campus – Late last night, the Minster of Health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng announced another case of the Novel Coronavirus in Uganda. At around 12:30am, she took to her twitter handle and announced that Uganda had again registered another case amidst a growing excitement of all the discharged patients.

She went on to say that around 1117 samples had been tested yesterday at Uganda Virus Research Institute in Entebbe and that only one person came out positive.

The new case is a Burundian refugee that arrived from Tanzania and was under quarantine  during the testing.

As it is, the total confirmed cases in Uganda now stand at 56, with 38 discharged and 18 active cases as of yesterday.
