KIU, Main Campus - Ainamani Twijukye who is the only member of the Kampala International University Corporate Woodball Club, is not contented with the gold medal he won in the recently held National First Corporate Circuit 2020 that took place at Makerere University Business School, and where he put up a magnificent display that is so far one of his very best.

The 26-year-old communications student doubled with Okot Richard to win his first-ever gold in the double category that featured 17 clubs from different parts of Uganda but the mercurial Ainamani insists that winning his first gold is like taking water at lunchtime.

“This gold medal is not enough and it is not what I want. This is just like one taking water as you look forward to having lunch,” said Ainamani. “My lunchtime is becoming a national wood-ball-star.”

He also finished in the fifth position in the National Woodball Singles Championships earlier this year.

Twijukye draws more confidence from the fact that KIU has continuously upheld its reputation as Woodball Champions over the years. The Institution has sent the highest number of players to the national team compared to other institutions. He is currently preparing for the second corporate circuit to be held in Bugema on 4th March 2020.
