Explorer of the Day: Hervy Kanyankole Hopes to Impact Change in the KIU Law Society

KIU, Main Campus - Hervy Kanyankole, a second-year second-semester law student at Kampala International University (KIU), is aspiring for the position of President KIU Law Society in these coming elections.

He has always been led to positions of leadership, judging by his experience being the current Finance Minister KIU Law Society, the Program Manager of the KIU Giraffe Times Writers’ Club, the Co-ordinator Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF), and a Member of the Rule of Law Club. 

Being part of the current regime, the motivated Hervy decides to run for president post because he hopes to impact change in society.

"I want to change the mindset and improve the self-esteem in law students in regards to loving the course, being the course, and being proud of the course they are pursuing,” he enthusiastically expressed, “More so, I’d like to further improve the KIU law Clinic in terms of better services and organization for better moots."

Hervy says he is honoured to be part of  Uganda’s leading private university and hopes to change the perspective of law students towards their profession and inspire them to achieve more. He also advises students to be proud of the choice they made to join KIU for the betterment of their education.
