KIU, Main Campus – During his Presidential address this week Museveni committed to donate part of his UGX 3.6 million monthly salary to the National COVID-19 taskforce.

"You remember your people normally pay me some little money. They pay me UGX 3.6 million. NRM takes about 20 percent. On the other remaining UGX 2.7 million, I will instruct Janet to sign UGX 1.4 million each month to the Fund. Janet is the one who receives that money,” he said.

Yesterday, the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Mdeliver delivered the presidents contribution to the task force. While handing over the money, the first lady noted that the donation might be little but it’s the spirit behind the gesture that is important.
