KIU, Main Campus- KIU Rangers and JT Lady Jaguars will this evening face-off in the second game of the best-of-five National Basketball League Semifinal series at the YMCA court in Wandegeya.

This game is expected to be highly contested with the JT Lady Jaguars aiming to level the series following the Rangers runaway Victory that gave them a 1-0 lead in game one on Sunday.

Speaking during a Pre-game interview on Tuesday evening, KIU Rangers head coach, Lutwama emphasized that the team needs to avoid complacency and acknowledge the challenging nature of a five-game series in which they are competing against a formidable opponent.

"The team's mood isn't overly celebratory, recognizing that we've only just begun a five-game series. It's a time to stay humble, concentrate on our areas of improvement, and respect our formidable opponent in the Semifinal," he said.

Lutwama confirmed that his team is aware of the stakes the game brings. He stressed that "past victories against the Lady Jaguars don't guarantee future success for  KIU Rangers."

"We only respect the game ahead and don't dwell on our past wins. We know they're strong, and complacency is not an option," he noted.

"We have another strategy in store because we're certain they'll try to counter what worked for us in the first game," he added.

The tactician also gave an update on the team's status in which he reported no injuries and that some of the players who missed game one on Sunday have since returned to the team.

The Rangers will not be with Flourence Nanyonga who is still nursing woods following an accident she encountered last week while Brenda Ayere and Patience Karungi are back.

A victory on Wednesday evening would give KIU Rangers a 2-0 lead, bringing them closer to their first-ever National Basketball League final.
