I am Gradually Achieving my Dream of Becoming a Medical Doctor at KIU- Chris Asingwire

KIU, Western Campus – When Chris Asingwire was growing up, one of the things he wanted to achieve after his time in school was becoming a medical doctor.

And he says that coming towards the end of his course, he is well in line of achieving this dream.

“It means a lot to me to be here because my childhood dream was to become a medical doctor and am heading towards achieving it because I am in the last hours of my course,” says the Bachelor of Clinical Medicine and Community Health finalist.

Asingwire says he has managed to navigate through the course up to his last year because he decided to focus on his books as he knows that is what brought him to university.

“When I joined, I decided to leave all the other things on the side and focus on my studies fully because I knew that was what brought me to campus,” he notes.

He adds that he made the right decision to join KIU because most of his expectations of the university have been met.

“I joined KIU to do a medical course after seeing it being recognized as the best private university in Uganda with the best teaching hospital, and l felt that l should be part of it,” he reveals.

He says he will always remember his time at KIU because he has met friends with whom he has built many lasting memories.

Asingwire says he will forever be grateful to Dr. Oliver - a surgeon, Dr. Calmer – a paeditrician, Dr. Venance – a physician and Dr. Confidence who is a gynaecologist for the assistance rendered to him throughout his studies.
