KIU CELEBRATES 57^TH INDEPENDENCE OF UGANDA

The management and staff of Kampala International University (KIU) join fellow Ugandans to celebrate the independence of the Republic of Uganda at 57, today being 9^th October 2019.

Uganda Independence Day is a state and/or national holiday celebrated on the 9^th day of October annually. On this day in the year, 1962, Uganda secured her freedom from the British colonial rule. The theme for 2019 independence celebration is tagged: Consolidation of National Unity, Security, Freedom and Prosperity.

This day is a national holiday celebrated with parades and cultural dances, as the Uganda armed forces and various associations march before the president at any designated place of celebration. Celebrations are held throughout Uganda and various activities are designed to promote the nation.

The Management of KIU, therefore, felicitate with all Ugandans on this special day of freedom!
