KIU Holds Orientation for August Intake Postgraduate Students

KIU, Main Campus - Ugandan musician Moses Ssali, also popularly known by his stage name Bebe Cool, has since received mixed reactions from the public after his effort to see to the release of Nigerian artistes Stanley Omah Didia also known as Omah Lay, Temilade Openyi also known as Tems.
The two Nigerian artistes, along with some Ugandan artistes, while at Ddungu Resort over the weekend, were arrested and dragged to Makindye Court on Monday, 14th December on grounds of holding an illegal concert as per the COVID-19 Presidential directives.
However with the support of Bebe Cool, public pressure, and other well wishers, the charges were dropped and the artistes were released.
Despite Bebe Cool's effort in the release of the artistes, he has received negative reactions from the public with some describing his effort as an act.
More to that, Bebe Cool who was trending on social media upon his great deed was yesterday left disappointed after being bounced at the Nigerian High Commission as some officials accused Bebe Cool of having induced the arrest of the artistes.
On the other hand, the artiste denied the allegations and said he was saddened by the arrest of the Nigerian artistes.
