KIU Rangers are Up For The Task as they face JT Lady Jaguars this Evening

By Isaac Akugizibwe

KIU Rangers are optimistic they will get better results from today's game against in-form JT Lady Jaguars at the YMCA court in Wandegeya. The game that tips off today, April 3rd 2023, at 7:00 PM is expected to be a highly contested encounter.

The Rangers have won three out of the six games played so far and will be looking to get another victory in tonight's clash in a bid of improving their position on the NBL Women's ladder.

KIU Rangers high-flying guard, Diana Letaru says that the Rangers are ready to face off with JT Lady Jaguars at the YMCA court in Wandegeya on Wednesday evening. Letaru has been in great form averaging 15 points in the six games the Rangers have so far played.

She acknowledged the fact that facing a team as determined and stocked as JT Lady Jaguars won't be an easy go but assured that the Rangers are ready to give their very best.

"it's not an easy game but we are up for the task," she told the club's website.

She said that the Rangers are progressing well when it comes to, "playing as a team, perfecting on team defense, and getting the baskets right into the hoop."

Newly promoted JT Lady Jaguars are currently the most in-form team in the NBL and have won seven games out of eight played so far. This has seen them top the NBL Women's ladder with a 7-1 aggregate while averaging 15 points. KIU Rangers interim coach, Julius Lutwama has confidence in what he prepares his troops to do

"We plan to overcome every team that we encounter because it is basically why we are here every day. And we highly appreciate the fact that they are an impressive side with top-notch experienced players but as a fact we shall come to play as best as we practice," he said.

The Rangers will be looking for nothing but a win in order to keep up with the other big teams as they look forward to making it to the playoffs again.
