KIU Western Campus to Host the Maiden Edition of the Africa Life Science RNA Salon’s Mini-Symposium in Uganda

KIU Western Campus - On Friday, August 11, 2023, the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences will host the Maiden Edition of the Africa Life Science (AfriLSc) RNA Salon’s Mini-Symposium, themed, Leveraging RNA Research Towards Career Development from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
The opening remarks will be given by Prof. Frank Kaharuza, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, KIU-Western Campus, and the keynote addresses will be delivered by Prof. I.O Igwenyi, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria, and Dr. Haruna Founding Member, AfriLSc RNA Salon, and Makerere University, Uganda.
During the symposium, topical issues ranging from RNA and diseases, revolutionizing disease diagnostics, to women in science will be discussed.
The event will be held at the Ph.D Study Room, Graduate Block, Western Campus.
