KIU, Main Campus - Research is always the hardest part in the academic life of any graduating student at any level. However, in regards to this issue, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences has organized a three-week training workshop on thesis writing and publication.

On 4th March 2020, the thesis writing and publication training commenced and students from different courses attended in big numbers.

In his opening remarks, Awobamise Ayodeji, Associate Dean Research College of Humanities and Social Sciences, stated that the purpose of this training is to challenge students in research writing.

He further added that the training will help students to have the zeal to write their thesis and learn how to extract articles from their own thesis for publication.

Shakum, a student pursuing a Masters of Science in Mass Communication (MMC), openly expressed his excitement, and even mentioned that he is  honoured to be part of the remedial class.

Shakum emphasized that with this great opportunity, students will be able to correct their mistakes way before submission.

He also recommends that the opportunity should be extended to students in undergraduate level so as to have a strong research foundation.
