Programme Overview
The Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) of Kampala International University is a two year intensive academic programme combining both theoretical and practical methods. Content is delivered to students through lectures, tutorials, projects, documentaries, individual and group presentations.
What You Will Learn
By the end of the programme, students are expected to demonstrate the knowledge, practical skills and professional conduct required for effective work in Civil Engineering.

Admission to the Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) program shall be done in accordance with Kampala International University procedures and regulations in line with the minimum requirements by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). In addition, a person qualifies for admission provided he/she satisfies minimum requirements of:
- At least one (1) Principal Pass in either Mathematics or Physics and two (2) subsidiaries in science subjects obtained at the same sitting (must have done Mathematics and Physics at UACE).
- The Ugandan Certificate of Education with a minimum of 5 Passes obtained at the same sitting,
Fees and Application Guidance
Tuition, functional fees and any programme-specific charges are confirmed by KIU Admissions and Finance for each intake. Applicants should review the current fee schedule before submitting an application.
