Programme Overview

The Master of Science in Information system (MSc.IS.) is a two-year day and evening degree programme. Its aim is to prepare postgraduate persons capable of articulating theories that underpin information system, applying IS best practices to productivity and competitive advantage, displaying awareness in the advances of computer and Internet technologies, applying the central issues of hardware and software life cycles for required application and conducting in-depth research and troubleshooting in the information system field. The programme consists of lectures, tutorials, practicals and individual research projects.

Admission Requirements

One will first satisfy the general requirements for admission to Kampala International University prior to being considered for admission to the programme. Admission to the programme shall be open to the following category of candidate.
  • Holder of a minimum of second class honours undergraduate degree that has content rich in computer science, software engineering, information system or mathematics;
  • Holder of postgraduate diploma in computer science or information system;
  • Person that possesses demonstrable wide experience in the practice of information system.
