KIU, Western Campus – Moses Cooper Otim advises all graduands to add more to the academic award they have received from KIU as it is not enough to guarantee their success in future.

“On top of the certificate/diploma/degree/masters/PhD you have received from KIU, you should add elements of hard work with diligence, discipline and humility, creativity, resilience, building social capital and above all, being God fearing,” Otim told this website after KIU’s 28th Graduation Ceremony, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy.

The event, which was held on November 25, saw about 1,862 graduates pass out from the best private university in Uganda.

Otim, who has been admitted to Masters of Science in Pharmacology at KIU says he wants to apply the knowledge he has acquired in Clinical Practice to help save and help more patients out there.

He is glad he joined KIU because he says he has received quality university education during his time here and he is sure he will receive the same at Masters Level.

“KIU teaches a standard curriculum, has a multicultural environment with international students and lecturers, state of the art facilities, fully stocked library, laboratories and so much more,” Otim states.

He says he has so many memories of KIU, which he will always hold dear to his heart.

“Memories of my regime as a student's guild leader never get old. On top of the lecture days, the in-depth and informative discussions with lecturers, examination pressure, clinical rotations at the KIU teaching hospitals, outings, all these I can’t forget,” he recalls.

He thanks his family for believing in him and supporting his dreams. He also thanks his lecturers, the Dean of his school, other staff members and university administrators for the efforts they put in to make the graduands what they are today.
