Mr. Obwola Geoffrey Vand is an Assistant Lecturer in the department of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Kampala International University. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience in the fields of Chemistry and Physics.
Mr. Obwola has a Masters of Science in Analytical/ Environmental Chemistry obtained from Makerere University in2018, a Bachelor of Education (Chemistry/Physics) from Kyambogo University- 2012, and a Diploma in Secondary Education from NTC Nagongera Tororo- 2004.
He has also attended a number of professional development courses such as 9th symposium of the African Network for Chemical Analysis of Pesticides (ANCAP), organized by ANCAP at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. (Nov. 2016), East and Central African Laboratory Managers (E-SALAMA) workshop, a one-week workshop organized by E-SALAMA and Makerere University at Hotel Triangle, Kampala, Uganda. (April 2016), and “Learning chemistry through experimentation”, a 4-day’s workshop hosted by Kyambogo University and facilitated by Dr. Jennifer B. Nielson, Associate teaching Professor at Brigham Young University, USA among others.
He is also a member to organizations like: African network for Chemical analysis of pesticides (ANCAP), Royal society of Chemistry, Pesticide residue analysis research group, Makerere University and Chemical Society, Makerere University.
