Mr. Ignatius Okurut is an assistant lecturer and the Head of Sports Science at Kampala International University.
Ignatuis has served as a tutor and head of sports in a number of institutes of like Gulu Core PTC between 2012-2017, African children’s choir (2009-2011), Mubende NTC (2012), Mary Mcaleese p/s (2004-2008), Okouba p/s (2003) and Owogoria p/s (2002).
He is currently pursuing a Masters in Technical Education from Kyambogo University. He holds a Bachelors in Education, and a Diploma in Technical Education both awarded by Kyambogo University in 2011 and 2006 respectively. He was awarded with a grade III teaching certificate from Soroti Core PTC in 1997.
Ignatius has obtained several certificates of sports courses like handball coaching, athletics management, endurance, netball coaching, football coaching, cool volleyball, kid’s athletics, level 11 volleyball coaching, swimming, physiotherapy, athletics for DEVT, ICT, SAP, level 1 volleyball coaching, Paralympics and woodball management.
He was born on 15th December, 1969 in Kumi district, eastern Uganda and he has interests in interacting, teaching, playing games, singing and telling stories.
