Nasejje Stella is an Assistant lecturer in the Physical Sciences Department at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Kampala International University where her duties are; facilitating the teaching and learning of courses assigned to her by developing teaching course notes in line with the course outline, supervising practical work, conducting tutorials, setting, moderating and marking tests, course works and examinations, preparation and submission of marks and attending departmental or faculty meetings, as well as offering academic advising services to students.
She holds a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Science with Education Degree (Physics & Mathematics) both of which she attained from Kyambogo University, Kampala, Uganda. Additionally, she also has a certificate in peer Education that she acquired from Population Service International (PSI).
Stella is passionate about teaching and has taught students ranging from secondary school to the university level, in the most reputable institutions in Uganda, besides that she also has experience working with organizations outside the field of academia like Micro Save Uganda to mention but a few.
She has also published a peer-reviewed paper in 2014 with Science Domain Publishers in Journal of Scientific Research and Reports with the title; "Dependency of Dielectric Strength of Kaolin on Processing Method.” doi: 10.9734/JSRR/2015/13335.
Also, she is involved in community initiatives and programmes such as the Peer Educator- Go-getters’ Programme whose main objectives were to liberate young adults at University level from being sexually used by men much older than them and also to reduce on the spread of HIV and AIDS.
With her passion for teaching and experience gathered over the years, Stella is in the right position to mentor, train and shape the bright minds of the future here at Kampala International University where we continue to explore the heights!
