Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi is currently the Director of Higher Degrees and Research at Kampala International University (KIU), Main Campus, Kampala. He is an academician and a manager with over two (2) decades of teaching, supervising, examining, administration, developing various researches and publications experiences. Dr. Abdullahi holds a PhD in Statistics from Queen Mary, University of Landon, (QMUL) UK, a Master of Science in Statistics from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Kano State, Nigeria, A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science and, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics both from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is a reader (associate professor) of Mathematical Statistics.
Before he was appointed as the Director of Higher Degrees and Research at KIU, he held different positions at many Institutions of learning. These include among others: Head, Department of Computer Science & Mathematics, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria., Member, Central Appointment & Promotion Committee (A&PC), Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria. Chairman, University Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Committee, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria. Ibrahim was Member (Senate representative) of University Governing Council, Northwest University [now, Yusuf Maitama Sule University], Kano, Kano State, Nigeria. Director, Management Information System (MIS), Northwest University [now, Yusuf Maitama Sule University], Kano, Kano State, Nigeria, Head, Department of Mathematics, Northwest University (Now, Yusuf Maitama Sule University), Kano. Kano State, Nigeria and Head, Department of Statistics, Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria. Dr Abdullahi was the University Coordinator on Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), Member (Congregation representative) of University Governing Council, Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil, Kano State. He was a Visiting Senior Lecturer on Statistics & Probability at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria., Gombe State University, Gombe, Gombe State, Nigeria and Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State.
Notwithstanding, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi is a decent individual with strong technical and hands on implementation skills to work on demanding and diverse projects. His ability to manage responsibility on multiple demands with a proactive approach to the work, while utilizing excellent team-oriented skills, and his ability to develop professional relationships at all levels, make him equipped for all challenges he may face. Self-motivation and his steady headed approach to situations give him sound problem-solving abilities and the capability to identify solutions.
