Rodgers Bangi Mugume is a Research Fellow at the Uganda National Roads Authority working in the Department of Research and Development from 2016 to date, he is also a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Kampala International University from 2017 to date, before joining KIU, he worked with Kyambogo University as a senior lecturer in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering.
He holds a Master of Engineering in the field of Built Environment (Concrete Technology) from Hokkaido University; Sapporo, Japan (September 2010), a Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Science from Hokkaido University Sapporo, Japan (September 2010) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Building Engineering Kyambogo University Kampala, Uganda (July 2006). Rodger is a member of professional bodies like The Korean Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE) Journal of Civil, Engineering – Technical Reviewer, Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An International Journal –, Technical Reviewer, The Engineers Registration Board (ERB), Uganda – Registered, Engineer, Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) – Corporate, Member, Technical Committee on Concrete, Reinforced Concrete and Pre-stressed Concrete (ISO/TC 71) under International Standards Organization (ISO) – Technical Member and others.
Roger has grown his expertise in, Fiber-reinforced concrete Fracture toughness of concrete, Materials mix design, Materials testing, Structural fire engineering, Materials fire engineering, Infrastructure maintenance, Infrastructure planning, Site supervision, Data analysis, and Technical report writing.
He is an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated individual.
