Robert Ssali Balagadde, PhD, is a Ugandan Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, School of Mathematics and Computing at Kampala International University, with over 10 years of diverse teaching experience at various Ugandan, Indian and Rwandan Universities.
He holds a Ph.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India; MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) Certification Future Technology Ltd, Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center, Kampala, Uganda; and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Moscow State University of Mining, Moscow, Russia.
In addition, he has published various papers and articles in both local and international journals, which include the International Journal for Natural Language Computing, and the Journal of Business and Management to mention but a few. Furthermore, he has also supervised the theses and dissertations of a number of students at the Master’s level. His areas of research interest include Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Spell Checker Development, Data Science, Big data Analytics and Soft Computing.
With his firm foundation, vast experience and competence in the Computer Science field, he is in the right position to guide and shape the minds of the future as well as creating sustainable solutions for a better, Uganda, Africa and the world at large here at KIU where we continue to explore the heights!
