<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:" times="" new="" roman",serif;="" mso-bidi-font-family:calibri;mso-ansi-language:en-gb"="">School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Kampala International University, he is also a lecturer at Kyambogo University. Before, he worked at Gulu University, Makerere University and Islamic University of Uganda.

He has acquired a number of certificates and skills from various trainings including the training on Doctoral Supervision organised by the African Doctoral Academy, Stellenbosch University, in collaboration with the Directorate of Graduate Training and Research, Makerere University on 12th - 16th September 2016 at Makerere University.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:" times="" new="" roman",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:calibri;="" mso-ansi-language:en-gb"="">Hannington has supervised and mentored a number of students on research, prior to that, he has carried out research on Toxic metal levels in food crops grown from dump-sites around Gulu Municipality, Northern Uganda, International Journal of Social Science and Technology, 1(1), 22-45 and the antiplasmodial and radical scavenging activities of Flavonoids of Erythrina burttii. <span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:" times="" new="" roman",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:calibri;="" mso-ansi-language:en-gb"="">He loves engaging in Community work and he is the current Chairman of the Elders in New Jerusalem Healing Power Church, in Old Kampala. In 2016, he provided piped water for a village in Buyundo, Nyamirama Sub-County, Kanungu District and also mobilized village communities to work on bushy feeder roads and around water points in Buyundo, Nyamirama Sub-County, Kanungu District, July 2015.
