Mr. Ntambi Saidi is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at the School of Natural and Applied Sciences as well as the School of Public Health, Kampala International University (KIU). With a strong academic background in Epidemiology and Biotechnology, Mr. Ntambi offers a wealth of knowledge and experience to his teaching and research.
He holds a Master of Epidemiology from Diponegoro University in Indonesia and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Makerere University Uganda. Prior to joining KIU, he was a Research Associate at Makerere University, where he conducted significant research in microbiology and biotechnology, and served as a Teaching Assistant at Diponegoro University, focusing on One Health and antimicrobial resistance.
Mr. Ntambi’s research interests include Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, Epidemiology, One Health and antimicrobial resistance. He has contributed to various projects on, Monkeypox Virus, MDRO and more, utilizing bioinformatics and advanced biology techniques. He is a member of the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) and the Uganda Biotechnology and Biosafety Consortium (UBBC).
His work has been recognized with several awards at international conferences in Thailand, Ethiopia and Egypt. He has authored multiple publications and co-authored textbooks on One Health and antimicrobial resistance.
Mr. Ntambi is dedicated to advancing his field through innovative teaching and cutting-edge research, aiming to inspire and educate future professionals.
