Abaasa Sheila is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Development, Peace and Conflict Studies. Prior to this, she served as a field officer for Innovations for Poverty Action from 2013 to 2019, and also as a Volunteer/team leader at the Uganda Red Cross Society from 2011 to 2014.
She obtained her Bachelor Degree in development studies in 2012 and a Master degree in development studies in 2017 from Bugema University, Uganda. Her research interest and areas include peace and conflict, development economics, poverty alleviation amongst others.
When she is not teaching, Sheila is consulting for various local and international NGOs and CSOs in Uganda.
