Yusuf Abdulkadir is a Lecturer at Kampala International University (KIU), Kampala-Uganda.
He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering, and a Bachelors of Civil Engineering from Abu Zaria University.
Yusuf has published a number of online and print articles including one on the Stochastic Assessment of Movement Resisting Joints in Timber Frames Using Element Method. He is a registered Engineer with COREN No. R.7280, and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE).
He has worked with Globarch Associates as a Supervising Consultant and was actively involved in the construction of Portharcourt International Airport terminal plus the Apron, drainage, and external works for the terminal building. Yusuf has lectured at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, and has also worked with the Presidential Committee on Barrack Rehabilitation. During his time as the Air Force Representative, Yusuf carried out Comprehensive rehabilitation of the Armed Forces and police barracks. He also asessed the dilapidation in barracks, tendered and awarded barrack rehabilitation contracts whilst monitoring and evaluating of jobs done to compile the committee’s report.
Yusuf further worked with the Nigerian Air Force Foundation Limited as Manager Real Estate handling design and construction of residential and commercial housing schemes plus the construction of roads, water, electrical and sewage facilities, marketing and allocation of properties to prospective buyers.
He exhibits high research and teaching aptitude, with enormous consistency in innovation and clear understanding of the underlying principles of the subject at hand and its relevancy to other domains.
