Wotoyitide
Tonny Lukwago is a lecturer at Kampala International University western campus
from 2018 to date, before joining KIU western campus, he was a lecturer at KIU
Dar-es-Salaam in the school of Health Sciences from 2015-2017. Prior to that,
he was the head of Pharmacognosy department from 2016-2018, he also chaired the
disciplinary committee of the faculty of pharmacy at KIU Tanzania campus.
He
holds a Masters in Pharmacology, a Master of Business Administration both from
Makerere University. He also holds a Post graduate certificate in Research
Methods and Writing skills from Center for Basic Research Kololo and a
Bachelors in Ethnobotany from Makerere University.
Lukwago
is a Member of the Uganda Pharmacological Society, Member of the pharmaceutical
society of Uganda (Accredited medical Representative) and a Member of natural
products of east and central Africa. His research interest lies in Preclinical
and clinical pharmacology of natural/ herbal products, Rational Drug Use and
Therapeutic Drug monitoring and Drug Utilization patterns and Trends, he also
published research on Stability indicating high-performance thin layer
chromatography method for estimation of ascorbic acid in Hibiscus sabdariffa L.
aqueous extract. J Complement Med Res. 2019.
He
has held different leadership, managerial and administrative positions.
