Dr.
Umezuruike Chinecherem is the
Associate Dean, School of Computing and Information Technology
Kampala International University from July 2019 to date. Before
rising to this position, he was the Departmental Examination
Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science (2017-2018). He
holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Babcock University Ilishan
Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria, a Master of Science in Information
Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria and a
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Education from the
prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Due
to his passion in making research, he has published his research on
Health Informatics System for Screening Arboviral Infections in
Adults (2018), Boosting self-sufficiency in maize crop production in
Osisioma Ngwa Local Government with internet of things (IOT)-climate
messaging: A model (February 2019), a review on Implementation
Challenges of Health Management Information Systems in Uganda among
others. He has conducted training for professionals, developed
detailed training plans and manuals and he has helped in advising
students on the right paths to follow.
Dr.
Umezuruike is a Computer Science
and Information Systems professional with academic and industrial
experiences, dedicated to upholding the university’s goals and
aspirations. He is very versatile in using current electronic
learning tools for teaching and inspiring students to fulfill their
dreams by providing an in-depth understanding of various information
and communication technology concepts.
He
is a strong team player with significant experience in student
mentoring and conducting independent research and adequate knowledge
of computer science and information systems concepts including
current technological trends. In addition, he possesses adequate
teaching skills, with proficiency in using current electronic
learning tools, computer programs and software applications as well
as strong and motivational and problem-solving abilities and
communication skills
