Dr. Brian Mubiru Kalenge, is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Kampala International University from 2017 to date, he also works for Law and Human Rights Foundation in Kampala, Uganda from March 2009 to present, providing legal consultancy services to various national, regional and international clients in legislative drafting and policy formulation. Brian has been contracted to perform a judicial performance assessment and monitor judicial decisions in appellate courts of judicature in Uganda in 2019 and has performed other tasks.
He obtained a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom in 2013 and also a Master in Law from the University of Exeter, UK. In addition, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University in 1999 and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre in 2001.
Brian is an award winner as the best International Overall Coach in International Human Rights Moot Competition and he has contributed to society through volunteering. He also chairs the Uganda Human Rights Forum and the African Centre for Transitional Justice as well as a member of the African Committee of Jurists.
