Dr. Saidi Odoma is a Pharmacologist. He earned his BSc and MSc degrees from the Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutic and Toxicology, University of Lagos, Nigeria, and his PhD degree from the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Dr. Odoma’s area of research interests are ethnopharmacology, toxicology and neuropharmacology, with special interest in pain and inflammation. In his PhD thesis work, he evaluated the effect of a medicinal plant on pain receptors and inflammatory mediators such as cytokines.
Dr. Odoma has attended number of workshops and seminars, he also serves as a reviewer to some journals. He is presently into lecturing, research and mentoring of younger scientists. He has number of publications to his credit.
