Dr. Akampurira is a highly skilled academic, who currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in College of Education, Open, Distance and E-Learning, Kampala International University where her duties are: teaching undergraduate and university graduate students, supervising research and fieldwork, writing and updating study modules.
Akampurira Patience, PhD fellow at CHUSS, Makerere University, holds a Master of Arts (History) Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration and Management from Makerere University, Uganda Management Institute Postgraduate Certificate in Instructor of Trainers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts co-current with a Uganda Christian University Diploma in Education. Patience has a work experience of fifteen years (15) in teaching at higher institutions, organizational development training, research monitoring and evaluation of educational programs, and this has equipped her with practical skills to manage research, leadership and control activities in education. Her teaching fields include introduction to public administration, governance and management of the public sector, among others, Administration of Education and Sociology of Education for in-service teachers, teaching Masters of Education students; school and community relations.
Dr Akampurira has a vast experience in higher education as she has worked with other universities and at KIU, she continues to explore the heights.
