Wilberforce Mfitundinda is a Teaching Assistant at Kampala International University (KIU), Kampala-Uganda.
He holds a Master of Science in Pharmacology from Kampala International University Western Campus, a Post Graduate Certificate in Research Methodology from the Basic Research Center in Kampala, a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Kyambogo University (KYU), and a Certificate in Qualitative Research Methods- ACEPHEM/PHARMBIOTRAC from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST).
He has worked with Rene Pharmaceutical Industries as an Assistant Quality Control Manager, a Quality Assurance Executive, and a Quality Control Analyst. Wilberforce was also the Head of Research and Innovation EAYWP, and a Production Chemist at Abacus Parenteral Drugs Limited (APDL) where he led a team of chemists for a period of 2 years to provide technical expertise on product development. He has published a research paper titled ‘Evaluation of Hypoglycemic activity, acute and sub-acute toxicity of aqueous extract of chinensis leaves on streptozonic induced Diabetes Melitus in Wistar rats’.
Wilberforce is a member of professional institutions like the Uganda Pharmacological Society and the East Africa Young Water Professionals. He is very proficient in Computer skills, applied softwares, and works relentlessly to maintain the academic standards at the Kampala International University (KIU) as shown through his impeccable commitment.
