Sanni Shamsudeen Ademola, PhD, is a very accomplished Senior Lecturer at the School of Mathematics and Computing, particularly in the Department of Information Technology. He has an impressive track record in Academia as he has held various posts, among which include being the Coordinator, Center for Digital, Open and Distance eLearning, and the Secretary, Doctoral Committee, School of Computing and Information Technology, both of which he has held at Kampala International University.
He has a PhD, a Master of Library and Information Science both from Malaysia and a Bachelor of Science from Nigeria. His areas of specialization include Learning Technology, Machine Learning, A.I, E-learning; Big Data, Data Science/ Analytics/Visualization; Innovation Diffusion and Technology Adoption; Computer and Information Security; Scholarly Communications and Bibliometrics; Software Engineering; Project management.
In addition, he has published numerous articles and papers in various international and local journals such as Journal of Development, African Multidisciplinary Journal Series, KIU Journal of Humanities and the Malaysian Journal of Library & Information Science to mention but a few. Sanni has also supervised over ten Students at postgraduate level and has participated in a couple of research projects and all these further cement his status in Academia.
With his solid experience and expertise, he is in the right position to guide and shape the minds of the future as well as creating sustainable solutions for a better, Uganda, Africa and the world at large here at KIU where we continue to explore the heights!
