Kodi Philip is an educator, medicinal Chemist and researcher. His medicinal research interests are aimed at identifying, promoting and conserving useful plant species and other natural products. He is principally interested in documenting ethnobotanical information on plant use (administration, methods of preparation, handling and storage), determination of safety, dose, and efficacy of the traditional herbal medicines used by the local communities. Isolation and characterization of pure compounds got from the crude extracts, determination of toxicity of crude and pure compounds are other areas looked investigated. Teaching local communities on the conservation of plant species that are beneficial to mankind
