Mr. Sserunjogi Nasser is Nasser is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Uganda.
He is a lecturer of Insurance law and Civil Procedure at Kampala International University School of Law, where he has taught since 2009.
Mr. Sserunjogi is also a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society and a Professional Adviser in Civil Litigation and Corporate & Commercial Law at Law Development Centre in Kampala where the Post Graduate Bar Course is taught.
Mr. Sserunjogi is one of the founding partners as well as the managing partner of Magna Advocates, a law firm that was ranked among the top 25 law firms in Uganda in 2018. His distinguished career is rivalled by equal merit in the practice of law.
Mr. Sserunjogi is an American trained Insurance Attorney, with vast expertise in Insurance Litigation and settlement of Insurance matters, Health and Life Insurance Financing, Reinsurance and International Commercial Arbitration.
Before starting Magna Advocates in 2016, Mr. Sserunjogi had worked with Fides Legal as a legal associate for five (5) years from 2009 to 2014, when he left and formed A.N. Sserunjogi Advocates which later merged with Kyazze & Co. Advocates to form Magna Advocates.
Mr. Sserunjogi’s area of practice involves Insurance law, Banking and Investments, Corporate and Commercial Law, International Business Transactions, Securities, Gas & Oil Law, Telecom law and Aviation law. He has handled numerous complex commercial transactions for several local and international clients.
He has a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) majoring in Insurance Law from the University of Connecticut in the United States of America. He also has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Kampala International University School of Law obtained in 2006 where he emerged among the top three (3) best students of that class. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma In Legal Practice from Law Development Centre in 2007 and was called to the Bar in 2009.
Besides the legal practice, Mr. Sserunjogi is a sports person and specifically Basketball, where he has been active for a period of 17 years, managing the KIU Titans and Rangers Basketball teams since 2002. He is currently the President of the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) in Uganda. FUBA is a body that is mandated by the Government through National Council of Sports (NCS) to manage basketball in Uganda.
